Preparation for dinner

I decided to cook something different for him. No western food. Chinese food would be better. I was thinking of making Bak kut teh ( non-halal) and some different dishes. Unexpectedly, he knew it. I thought it would be a surprise for him.

Early morning, I woke around 7am. Gosh! It been a long time for me to go to pasar pagi. When I was in hometown, I'm always went to pasar pagi with mum. You know, it's awesome...   Oh well, guess what? I brought recycle bag with me. *omg!! Am so aunty!!! *

I walked to Sri petaling for 30minutes just to save the money. When I reached, the first ingredient that I bought was pork.

Me: Aunty, I want pork ribs... 500g and 300g for pork belly.
Aunty: Eh? No, 300g for pork belly. I can't chop la...
Me: Oh? Then?
Aunty: You pick one from there *pointed*
Me: okay...

After I bought it, I called mum. Mum taught me how to prepare the bak kut teh and choose the pork belly/ribs. Then, I walked around to survey what kind of meat ball and other ingredients that I could get for the bak kut teh. I saw an uncle who sell various type of meat ball, fish ball and etc.

Me: Uncle, which brand of meat ball is nice?
Uncle: What kind you want? We got different type. Some of it inside got filling.
Me: I want those for soup. Bak kut teh? * pointed* This?
Uncle: Yeah, this one... better..

I decided to get 2 packs since Yj come over for dinner too, together with her friend. She loves meat ball. The bf loves to eat too. 40 meat balls. Won't that much right?

After that, I walked to get some fruits. I knew the bf didn't eat any fruits for some times. So, I bought 3 different fruits, watermelon, honeydew and pears. I picked up the best watermelon.

I realized I didn't have anything for my breakfast. So, I walked to nearest to have my breakfast. Oh my!! Pan mee always my favourite.. (His fav food too...  :-P)  After the breakfast, continue beli and walking around.

The bf texted me something which make me damn happy.

I bought tofu and dao pok. Yj said her friend loves tofu while dao pok was for the soup. Besides that, I bought garlic, some veges. After finished everything, I walked to Carrefour to get some soy sauce, oyster sauce and bak kut teh herbs.

On the journey to Carrefour, I saw a car stopped at traffic. I slowed down and looked around. An aunty was beside me and she talked to me. After some chit chat, I knew what happened. The driver of that car, a girl  fainted in her car. The aunty saw it and kept knocking her car. *Rawr~! Aunty gossiping !! *

After like 20 minutes chatting, I with the aunty walked across the road and heading to Carrefour together. We chatted while we walked. * Omg!!!

Once we reached carrefour, she said she need to get something too. So, we were together, again. And, we kept talking. We talked about food, her grandchildren, son, etc.... * Somebody kill me pls!!~* After that, I tried to run away from her. Yay!! I didn't see her, yet...

After I bought everything that I needed, I walked to get a taxi. But.... I saw her again!!! She waved her hand and said, the bus coming~ come!! I walked to her. She said, take bus, you can save a lot... just RM1 only. So, I just followed her.

Shitt!! the bus stopped far away from my apartment and I had to walk back. Again, the aunty got off together with me. We talked again and she invited me to her house for some tea. She even said she will make some soup too. I was speechless and I had to reject her invitation. She told me where she lives and which block she stay at.  Ahhh! aunty, you're so cute and funny. I shall visit you in future.
